Creating a Healthy and Happy Space for Residents of Amaranta at Villanova with Polystorm

Polypipe’s Polystorm product is selected for stormwater management solutions at Amaranta at Villanova

Amaranta at Villanova boasts beautiful 2, 3 & 4 bedroom Spanish-style townhouses with spacious floor plans that echo the laid-back and relaxed lifestyle this community encourages. The community layout and integrated design aim to create a healthy space for families to thrive and grow.

Developed by Dubai Properties, Amaranta at Villanova (Phase 2) is equipped with multiple recreational facilities. The project includes green gardens, unique landscaping and modern architecture, which called for a sustainable and conscientious water management solution.

Polypipe Middle East worked closely with lead consultant, Parsons, and main contractor, Wade Adams, to conceive an efficient solution that fulfilled project specifications. Parsons approved Polypipe Middle East’s product based on structural analysis competency and detailed testing. Wade Adams, who specialise in infrastructure constructions, chose to work with Polypipe Middle East as they were looking for a partner with a trusted reputation that would ensure project delivery on time and as per local and international standards.

The project comprised of complex, landscaped areas with a high water table in certain zones and demanded localised solutions within a limited space. Having previously worked on luxury residential developments, such as Layan Community and Remraam, Polypipe Middle East designed a fit for purpose solution that employed the highly durable Polystorm product.  Based on site conditions and a detailed technical analysis, Polystorm was determined to most efficiently reduce the risk of flooding, whilst also offering cost and technical performance benefits in comparison to traditional solutions like concrete or aggregate.

Polystorm, an effective geocellular water management system, was employed because it is SuDS compliant and ideal for infiltration, attenuation or detention. It is lightweight and arrives at the site as a finished product, rendering the installation process much quicker and easier. In this project, it was used to create void space under the ground and consequently improve storm water collection and create a cleaner, safer community.

Lina Abolail, WMS Manager at Polypipe Middle East, said:

“Our bespoke approach to subsurface water storage, coupled with our experience in the region and success with the Polystorm product, gave us the opportunity to design an effective and sustainable solution that matched the developer’s specific demands and contributed to the creation of a healthy, family-friendly community.”
