The 5th Annual Middle East Smart Landscape Summit will be held under the support of the Dubai Municipality on 15th & 16th May, 2017 at Sofitel Dubai The Palm Resort and Spa, Dubai UAE.
As the only landscape focused conference in Dubai, the event will emphasise on the region’s commitment to the sustainable growth of green spaces and will outline innovative approaches to green transformation. As the region’s leading landscaping event, the summit aims to promote investment in green infrastructure and present the diverse opportunities and obstacles faced in increasing green landscapes in the city.
Polypipe Middle East will be showcasing Permavoid - a shallow geocellular water conservation system aimed at managing surface water at source, as close to where it falls as possible at this leading event of sustainable landscape solutions.
Where sufficient and high quality green space is of major importance in the Middle East region for liveable and healthy cites, the Permavoid range of products create great value with sub-soil irrigation systems for trees, plants and turf, usable in podium decks, roof gardens, parks, roadside planting and in green roofs. The Permavoid system is based on natural capillary irrigation, directly from the water retaining drainage layer, preventing losses of valuable irrigation water to surface evaporation and deep drainage, attaining a 50-60% reduction in irrigation water needs. Permavoid is 100% natural system, it does not require any pumps, hoses, valves or energy to operate year round. Irrigating plants without water having to be pressurized also means that other sources of water such as HVAC condensate, wash down and stormwater can be directly captured, stored and used on-site for plant irrigation, without the need for storage or retention tanks.
