Polypipe Middle East wins at Qatar Sustainability Awards 2020

We are delighted to announce that Polypipe Middle East recently was awarded Green Building Product of the year at the Qatar Sustainability Awards 2020.
The event was hosted by Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC) who awarded organisations in the country that have promoted sustainability in their projects and programmes.
The awards event highlights innovation and best practices that support green urbanisation and recognises the contribution of individuals, institutions and organisations who further sustainable development in Qatar and in the region, through their initiatives, events, services, products and technologies.
Our signature water management solution, Permavoid, was awarded for its ability to enhance the sustainability of projects. Our award submission was centered around the topic “There’s no green without blue”, to emphasize the important of sustainable water management and green, multifunctional spaces for creating resilient cities.

Permavoid manages storm/surface water at the source, supporting Sustainable urban Drainage System (SuDS) application. Its high strength, durability and modular design enables it to be strategically integrated into structures that require shallow soakaway/infiltration, attenuation or detention, such as pavements.
The use of Permavoid can reduce the build-up of stagnant water in areas with high water table and improve water quality. It allows for more sustainable and efficient water management, helping to avoid public health issues and create healthier, safer communities.
This was the fourth edition of the Qatar Sustainability Awards, held at City Centre Rotana hotel, attended by a number of dignitaries and special invitees. Senior Marketing Manager at Polypipe Middle East, Katharina Runov, travelled to Qatar to receive the award.
